IT’s AUCTION SEASON!

Registration is open!
Let’s get this party started! “One Starry Night’ is waiting for you May 12, 2023. It is going to be an incredible evening and we want you there! Register HERE

What do I wear to the auction? This year’s theme is One Starry Night. Let it inspire you—midnight blues and Van Gogh post-impressionism? Red Carpet tux and gown? Favorite Star Trek character? Start planning now for you starry, starry night at the MAC. (For the MAC dress code, err on the side of business or formal attire.)

What is a Silent Auction? During the cocktail hour, you are invited to explore the items in the Silent Auction where you can sign up for fun events like adult dinner parties and kid experiences. Also there are a number of items to bid on by signing your name and raising the bid including fun packages, outings and art. The Silent Auction will end before the Live Event begins.

WELCOME TO FOREST PARK ELEMENTARY

WE’RE ALL IN FOR OUR KIDS!

Whether you’re a new, or returning family, we’re so happy that you’re part of the FPE community. Our school continues to be one of the highest ranking elementary schools in the Portland Public School district, and we’re always looking for ways to make things even better for our kids. We pride ourselves on being diverse and inclusive and welcome your feedback.

Friends of Forest Park Elementary is your parent leadership team which manages fundraising and social activities for the school. Some of our community-building events include Harvest Festival, Spring Carnival, International Festival and Family Dine Out Nights. Money raised is used for classroom supplies, art projects, guest speakers & performers, teacher appreciation, book fair, science fair and more. The majority of your donations are used to pay for Educational Assistants – positions that are not funded by Portland Public Schools.

This year, our goal is to raise $210,000, which is about $650 per student and there will be several opportunities for you to donate throughout the year. We ask that you take advantage of matching programs from your employer. Remember, every dollar counts.  Thank you for supporting Forest Park Elementary.

What is a Live Benefit Auction?
After the cocktail hour and Silent Auction, Dinner will be served. Your dinner entertainment this year is a comedy set by comedian Sean Jordan. Then the auction begins—you will participate by raising your bid cards high in the air to bid with vim and vigor on exciting get-away packages, family fun, student art and much more. You will make friends at the auction, but when it comes to bidding, the saying is, ‘there are no friends at an auction’. Outbid your buddy or lose that wine cellar, wine country escape weekend or 4th grade art project. And after it is all over, sleep well knowing that your bidding helped raise important funds for your school community.

Wine Drop
If you have pledged a bottle or two of wine for the auction or would like to donate bottles for the Wine Cellar and Wine Wall, please drop them off at Siva Murali’s house before Spring Break: 7910 NW Bluepointe Lane or closer to school at Sarah Shively’s house 2352 NW Brewer Lane. (Please add a PostIt or tag indicating the FMV of the wine and the donor.) We aim for bottle values of $30 and up. The Wine Cellar is an auction item created by the entire wine-loving FPE community. It is one of our favorite collections to create. Help make this year’s Wine Cellar and Wine Wall the best ever!
