WELCOME TO FOREST PARK ELEMENTARY

WE’RE ALL IN FOR OUR KIDS!

Whether you’re a new, or returning family, we’re so happy that you’re part of the FPE community. Our school continues to be one of the highest ranking elementary schools in the Portland Public School district, and we’re always looking for ways to make things even better for our kids. We pride ourselves on being diverse and inclusive and welcome your feedback.

Please take advantage of this website for donations, event information and related community and PPS resources.

Friends of Forest Park Elementary is your parent leadership team which manages fundraising and social activities for the school. Some of our community-building events include Harvest Festival, Spring Carnival, International Festival and Family Dine Out Nights. Money raised is used for classroom supplies, art projects, guest speakers & performers, teacher appreciation, book fair, science fair and more. The majority of your donations are used to pay for Educational Assistants – positions that are not funded by Portland Public Schools.

This year, our goal is to raise $210,000, which is about $650 per student and there will be several opportunities for you to donate throughout the year. We ask that you take advantage of matching programs from your employer. Remember, every dollar counts.  Thank you for supporting Forest Park Elementary.

The Fall Drive
The key is company matching! Learn more HERE!  Next week, a Fall Drive Letter and Envelope will come home in your students’ backpacks. Please look for this information as we kick off the Fall Drive in early October. Details about the Drive—including a mini auction event—will let you know the why and the how of Fall Fundraising for FOFPE. Write a check and use the return envelope—this saves the Foundation 3% on processing fees. This year’s Fall Drive Ask is $650 per student.
Dining for Dollars
October 12th is our next Dining for Dollars at Heroes Cafe in the Village Center. Owner, John Pyne, will donate back 20% of all sales throughout the day for people who indicate that they are ordering on behalf of Friends of Forest Park Elementary, FPE students etc. If people wish to order via Door Dash or GrubHub, they can still make their order count.
