Annual Food Drive – November 30th – December 7th

Please help us feed families in our own school district this holiday season! Our annual holiday food drive helps PPS children who receive free breakfast and lunch at school, who will otherwise struggle to have enough to eat during the two-week winter break. Our donations go to three schools: Scott School, Vestal School, and Whitman School in NE and SE Portland.

Parent/Teacher Conference Success! – November 21st & 22nd

We did it! Parent/Teacher Conferences were a great success, be it hybrid or unperson, our teachers and staff were well loved and ready to meet you… Here’s a quick snapshot of the break/relief room they were met with between sessions! Thanks to all the parents that volunteered and made it all possible!

WELCOME TO FOREST PARK ELEMENTARY

WE’RE ALL IN FOR OUR KIDS!

Whether you’re a new, or returning family, we’re so happy that you’re part of the FPE community. Our school continues to be one of the highest ranking elementary schools in the Portland Public School district, and we’re always looking for ways to make things even better for our kids. We pride ourselves on being diverse and inclusive and welcome your feedback.

Please take advantage of this website for donations, event information and related community and PPS resources.

Friends of Forest Park Elementary is your parent leadership team which manages fundraising and social activities for the school. Some of our community-building events include Harvest Festival, Spring Carnival, International Festival and Family Dine Out Nights. Money raised is used for classroom supplies, art projects, guest speakers & performers, teacher appreciation, book fair, science fair and more. The majority of your donations are used to pay for Educational Assistants – positions that are not funded by Portland Public Schools.

This year, our goal is to raise $210,000, which is about $650 per student and there will be several opportunities for you to donate throughout the year. We ask that you take advantage of matching programs from your employer. Remember, every dollar counts.  Thank you for supporting Forest Park Elementary.
